Our wool is inspired by our farm. The sheep produce it and the farm inspires the beautiful colours. It's as simple as that.
Every colour we use has been found in either the fields and woodlands, or in the garden. You can see where each colour comes from next to the colour swatches of the yarns.
The sheep which provide the wool are Romneys, which is an ancient breed with its origins in Romney Marsh in Kent. The sheep are shorn in May to July, or in January if they are ewes lambing early in the barn.
Many of our visitors to the farm notice what an idyllic and relaxing place Aragon Farm is. We hope that some of this tranquillity has been caught up in the wool. Take a little bit of the farm away with you.
Enjoy it!
